Stream Investigation Event

June 1, 2019 from 10:30 AM- 12:30 PM

Community Center Engine Room Bay – Lower Level                                        628 Walnut Ave. Harrisburg, PA 17112

Sponsored by the WHT Environmental Advisory Council (EAC)

Area teens, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and interested adults are invited to spend a Saturday morning with the Penn State Extension and the Penn State Agriculture and Environment Center to learn about streams. Get your boots wet and learn to tell if a stream is a healthy home for wildlife or suffers from human impacts. The event will start with a discussion and introduction to streams; but much of the time will be spent in and near the stream on site. Teens must be accompanied by an adult and should bring close-toed shoes or boots suitable for wading. Remember to dress for the weather.

Attendance is limited to 75 teens – those wishing to participate must call Eileen at the West Hanover Township Administrative office (717-652-4841) to register prior to the event OR register via the contact form on the Township Calendar of Events.
